Changes to the app at hushjot.app, newest first. The app never updates itself behind your back: when a new version is ready, it asks.

31 October 2026

• A Rust SDK for other apps. hushjot-rs lets other apps offer HushJot Sync, end-to-end encrypted. Developer preview, MIT/Apache.

28 October 2026

• Insert a table row anywhere. On a phone, a ⊞ key appears on the key bar while you’re in a table. On a desktop, press ⌘↩. The guide now explains every key on the phone’s key bar.

21 October 2026

• The hushjot command and MCP server. Plan in a note, answer on your phone, approve, and your agent builds. npm install -g @hushjot/cli; the Agents page has the five-minute setup.

20 October 2026

• Mermaid diagrams: a ```mermaid block is drawn as a diagram in the preview and on shared pages, in your light or dark theme. Notes without one load nothing extra.

• Follow links with a tap. Tap a [[link]] to open the note, or create it if it doesn’t exist yet. Web links open from the editor too.

• Every code block in the preview has a Copy button. So do code blocks on shared pages.
• A backup reminder: every 30 days, HushJot offers to export all your notes. It shows on synced devices too, because sync is not a backup.
• Copying a shared link now confirms on the button you pressed.
• Tables on shared pages fit better on a phone.
• Clearer wording about where your notes live when you use one device only.

• Shared pages are easier to read on a phone, with theme, text size and font controls.
• With line wrap off, tables in the preview stay unwrapped too.
• Task checkboxes in the preview match the app’s colours.

• More Markdown: ==highlights==, footnotes, definition lists, H~2~O and x^2^, :emoji: names and heading ids. See the Markdown cheat sheet.
• Opening a shared link shows the whole note first, with Save and Dismiss, before anything is added to your notes.
• Shortcuts behind ⌘J no longer change with Caps Lock.

• Line wrap: fit the window, a fixed width from 40 to 160 characters, or no wrap (⌘J ⇧W).
• Start over: lost both your passphrase and your recovery code? With sync, you can erase the synced notes and create a new vault on the same account and plan.
• Storage meter in the Account window. Sync includes 1 GB; if it fills up, editing never stops and new changes wait on your device.

• Link notes with [[Note title]], with title completion as you type.
• Focus mode hides everything but the note (⌘J Y).

• Sort by date edited, date created or title.
• Drag and drop notes onto folders, and folders into folders.
• Search one folder with in:Folder, find "exact phrases", and leave words out with -word.
• Follow your system’s light or dark theme, choose the editor font, and close brackets as you type.

• Tick tasks right in the preview.
• Change your passphrase, or get a new recovery code, from the Account window.
• Spellcheck on or off (⌘J V).
• Quick capture: send text into a new note from Android’s share sheet, or from a Shortcut on iPhone.
