A Google Keep alternative that Google can’t read.
Keep is quick: open it, jot, close it. HushJot is just as quick, and every note is encrypted in your browser before it is stored, so nobody can read it but you. No Google account either.

Moving your notes
Export Keep with Google Takeout and drop the zip onto HushJot: checklists, labels, pins and the archive come with it. Step-by-step guide →
Stay with Google Keep if…
- You keep photos, drawings or voice memos in your notes.
- You rely on reminders, or on Keep’s Android widgets.
- You want free sync and don’t mind Google holding the keys.
What you give up
Images, reminders and free sync. Sync costs $39 a year (plus tax) here because it is an encrypted service somebody has to run, and the price is what pays for it rather than your data.
