A Simplenote alternative that is encrypted.
Simplenote is no longer in active development; only its basic functionality is maintained. If what you liked was “fast, plain, in a browser tab, synced everywhere”, that is what HushJot is, with one thing Simplenote never had.

Moving your notes
Export a zip from Simplenote and drop it onto HushJot: tags, pins and dates come with it. Step-by-step guide →
What you give up
Native apps, and a free sync tier. Sync costs $39 a year (plus tax) here because it is an encrypted service somebody has to run, and the price is what pays for it rather than your data.
